Apply for the PCMA Canada East Chapter Board of Directors to help make a meaningful impact on the Meetings Industry

 

If you are passionate about the Meetings and Events Industry and interested in driving a significant impact to help shape the future of our community, you should consider applying for a position on the 2027 PCMA Canada East Board of Directors.

The PCMA Canada East Chapter is a vibrant and active community of dedicated and engaged members, bringing Business Events Organizers and Partners together to foster progress, innovation, and unified support for the Meetings Industry.

We are currently seeking engaged members to fill the following positions:

• President-Elect
• VP of Operations (Secretary)
• VP of Finance (Treasurer)
• Director of Community Engagement and Inclusion
• Director of Strategic Partnerships
• Director of Conference – Logistics

You do not need prior board experience to apply however you must be a current member of PCMA and serve as an active committee member.  What we value most is your willingness to volunteer your time and energy to support our mission and the meetings industry.

Board of Directors Qualifications:

• Be a member in good standing.
• Be willing to fulfill the obligations of office, in the capacity indicated.
• Have a history of involvement, accomplishment, and dependable service to PCMA – either through volunteering on a committee or having attended a number of PCMA events.
• Be willing to contribute time, energy, and creativity to the chapter with the consent of your employer.

Application Process:

• The application process will be advertised in our Chapter e-newsletter.
• Interested applicants will have until September 10th to submit their applications.
• We will review all applications and interview short-listed candidates for interviews.
• The new Board of Directors slate will be announced at the 2026 AGM in November at the PCMA Canada East Chapter Canadian Innovation Conference, in Edmonton, Alberta. If selected to join the Board, you should make every effort to be in attendance as a registered attendee.

General Responsibilities for All Board Members:

• Attend a minimum of 4 virtual Board of Director meetings.
• Attend Chapter events if possible
• Participate in a Board of Directors orientation process
• Attend two in-person Board of Director meetings in August and December in Toronto
